Let's start from the top! My name is Daniel Fernandez and I was born in Mexico City to a fairly poor family. At age 2 my dad, now a restaurant owner and grandfather, got his first big break working for the Hyatt Corporation and was able to get us out of Mexico to live in beach resorts for the rest of our childhood. He finally settled down in San Antonio were I finished my middle and high school education. I have always had an inclination towards technology and its benefits. That curiosity grew from goofing around with our first computer on Microsoft Paint to writing games in high school. Given my apparent inclination to all things computer I decided to pursue a Computer Science degree at UTSA. I found out very soon that you need much more than curiosity to really understand and excel in class. I don't consider myself a great student, and I believe what got me thru in most classes was my capability to grasp the main concept and build around it. That quality has definitely been strengthened thru day-to-day interactions at work and my business clients. I grasp the main concept of what that client is requesting and build around that, so when the clients sees for the first time their site they are awed and comfortable by using it. I have been developing and designing websites for 5 years professionally and personally, and out of all the technologies that I have learned I find websites to be the most human and fluid. For a more technical list of skills that I posses please check out my
resume as well. Thank you for learning a little about me and I hope to learn from you as well.
